My mother, Mary Lou, now in her late 80s, is an accomplished watercolorist who for years encouraged me to "get into painting." I finally began a few years ago and discovered great joy and peace in the act of creating. Working mainly with acrylics and with some watercolor, I endeavor to capture the beauty of light and to offer the viewer a feeling of tranquility.
