Jennifer has been the Director of Development for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts since 2015. Prior to that, she served as the Executive Director of ClearWater Conservancy of Central Pennsylvania for nearly fifteen years. Jen is a native of Centre County. She holds a B. S. of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University and is committed to using her time and talents to make her community a better place. She is particularly interested in conserving the beautiful natural landscapes of central Pennsylvania and engaging more people in the protection of land and water resources through her art.
Jennifer began exploring her creative side through an oil painting class at the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. Later at an artist's retreat at Hameau Farm, Jennifer borrowed some pastels, experimented with this tactile medium, and fell in love with its ability to quickly capture the beauty and character of the natural landscape. Pastels are vibrant and spontaneous, and working with them gives Jen an almost meditative creative outlet.
Jennifer is a Signature Member of the Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society, is a juried member of the Farmland Preservation Artists of Central Pennsylvania, is on the Artist Registry at the Bellefonte Art Museum, and has served on the Board of the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania.
Jen's artwork can be found at Art a la Carte in Bellefonte.
Jen continues to serve the conservation community on the Boards of the Centre County Farmland Trust, the Mount Nittany Conservancy, and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. She also serves as a Trustee of the Hamer Foundation.
