My art is mostly inspired by current events, explorations and thoughts within the anthropocene, and a vivid imagination. As an artist, I work sometimes not because I enjoy it, but more often because I feel called upon and compelled to create it.
Mainly I've been working in acrylic and oil mediums, with controlled paint applications and considerate planning as the ideas flow to me, guiding my technique through some experimentation as the thesis evolves. I often research particular aspects of the subjects portrayed in my compositions, and each piece is a learning experience for me intellectually as well as through materialization.
In some of my work I use parody and satire, and in all of my work the titles are important aspects to the overall communication of the piece. However, the most important aspect to complete the piece for me is to hear what others think about it. So please do not hesitate to reach out.
