Bellefonte Art Museum in collaboration with Christina Dhanuja presents: Heralding Utopias - Dalit conceptions of a caste-less, class-less, state-less world
The Bellefonte Art Museum is seeking artwork created by Dalit artists, for its 2025 exhibition titled “
Heralding Utopias – Dalit conceptions of a caste-less, class-less, state-less world.”
“Heralding Utopias”, a visionary project conceptualized by writer and co-founder of Dalit History month,
Christina Dhanuja, brings together contemporary visual art created by Dalit artists, whose conceptions of a world are free from caste, class, and state divisions. Christina Dhanuja is the convener and founder member of the Global Campaign for Dalit Women and an organizational consultant on leadership development, caste-diversity, equity, & inclusion, and accountability frameworks. She was the co-founder of the Dalit History Month project and has widely published on caste, gender, religion, sexuality, and mental health. She is currently working on her first non-fiction book on Dalit Women and the Fullness of Life.
