A quilt barn is merely a barn that has a quilt block hanging on it. But what does the quilt block mean and how did it come to be? This exhibit shares not only photographs of quilt barns but background information on the birth of quilt barns and the multitude of recognized quilt blocks. The exhibit also shares the story of how one local woman painted an eight-foot-square quilt block for the family barn.
